Xiaomi Technology shipped 26.11 million smartphones in the first half of 2014 and aims to ship a total of 60 million units for all of 2014, according to company president Lin Bin.
For 2015, Xiaomi aims to ramp up its shipments to 100 million units, increasing more than 66% from a year earlier, Lin said during an interview with Japan-based Nikkei News.
By the end of 2014, Xiaomi will have sales outlets in 10 countries, Lin said, adding that Xiaomi has nearly completed its deployments in India and Indonesia and will start building its sales networks in Brazil and Russia. However, it still has no plans to step into the Japan market for time being. |
