Apple is allegedly finished designing the new 12-inch MacBook Air and sent the notebook into limited production. The sources say that the notebook can't reach a satisfactory yield rate and due to limited quantities it may not be able to hit the shelves in time.

The upcoming event on October 16th should reveal the new iPads, Apple's OS X 10.10 Yosemite operating system and new iMacs that could have a 5K display. Whether or not we'll get to see the 12-inch MacBook at the event remains a mystery, but stay tuned a couple more days to find out.
