Panel makers can still expect to see steady orders from China TV vendors in the fourth quarter as Ultra HD TV sales remain steady and vendors begin stocking up for the Lunar New Year.

Local vendors' reserves are low following the October 1 holiday period during which market observers believe LCD TV sales reached over 5.4 million. Final figures have yet to be calculated, however.

Research firm AVC meanwhile said it estimates the penetration rate for Ultra HD TV sales during the period reached around 20% while that for curved units reached 0.7%.

Market observers added that TV vendors are expected to start decreasing orders for 32-inch units, which should help ease panel shortages for the size throughout the rest of 2014.
