Panasonic estimates it will sell 150,000 LCD TVs in Taiwan during 2014 and that its revenues in the Taiwan market during the year will reach NT$30 billion (US$1 billion).

The company is increasing its Ultra HD TV lineup with new 58- and 65-inch units equipped with panels from Innolux in addition to newly released 85-inch units.

Panasonic also said it believes the large-size, low-priced TV market in Taiwan is expanding, and that it is developing new lineups of 32- to 65-inch Full HD units.

In the home appliance segment, Panasonic noted that it holds a 30% share in freezer and washing machine sales, and expects on-year double-digit growth in the segment during 2014 and into 2015 when the company's share is expected to increase to 40%.
