The release of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus has pushed up iPhone sales for the fourth fiscal quarter, according to a new financial report from Apple. Official sales numbers from the company place iPhone sales in Q4 at 39.3 million, a 12 percent increase that has made this launch the most successful on record.
Apple's sales figure for the iPhone in Q4 surpassed expectations, as many analysts had predicted 38 million iPhone sales. Those numbers do not even include China since the new phones launched later in that market.
When compared to the same time period in 2013, Apple did remarkably well. The company pushed just 33.79 million iPhones in Q4 last year. |
