TV vendors aim to ship 34 million Ultra HD TVs in 2015, up 120% on year, according to supply chain sources.
China is expected to be the largest market during the year and demand for sizes 50-inch and above is expected to continue climbing.
Vendors will continue to pursue wide color gamut technology that provides viewing experiences on par with OLED, the makers said.
Meanwhile, Digitimes Research noted that Skyworth has increased its sales proportion of Ultra HD TVs in the China market from 12% in May 2014 to 15% in September, and also held a 27% proportion during the October 1 period. |
