Huawei announced via its official Twitter channel that it has sold in excess of 1 million units of the new Ascend Mate7 phablet. Most of these handsets are in China, since the Ascend Mate7 still isn't widely available in multiple regions across the globe. This impressive sales figure was achieved in about a month's time.
The Huawei Ascend Mate7 is powered by an octa-core Kirin 925 processor, which features 4 x Cortex A15 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, and 4 x Cortex A7 cores at 1.3 GHz. There's 2 GB of RAM in the 16 GB model and 3 GB of RAM in the 32 GB model of the phablet. It's got a 6-inch 1080p display.
Huawei has equipped its big-sized device with a fingerprint reader at the back. There's a 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera, a large 4,100 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat with Huawei's own EMUI v3.0 running on top.
