Microsoft revealed today that it sold a record 9.3 million Lumia Smartphones in the last quarter. Sales figures were released in Microsoft's earnings report for the first quarter of fiscal 2015. From a quarterly revenue of $18.53 billion last year, the figure grew to $23.2 billion of revenue in the latest earnings report.

Last quarter, only 5.8 million Lumia Smartphones were sold. However, in the same quarter last year, 8.8 million units were sold. Either way, Microsoft has posted a strong growth by selling 9.3 million Lumia handsets, which has brought in $2.6 billion in revenue for the quarter.
