LG has launched its first SoC targeted at high-end Smartphones. The LG NUCLUN (noo-klun) is based on 32-bit ARM Cortex A15 and Cortex A7 cores, coupled together in ARM's big.LITTLE design. There are four Cortex A15 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz, and four Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.2 GHz. The LG NUCLUN supports LTE Cat. 6 with a maximum downlink speed of 225 Mbps.

LG has debuted the NUCLUN chipset with a new Smartphone, dubbed LG G3 Screen, which has been developed for the Korean market. It will be available exclusively from LG U+ in Korea from next week.
