Preorders in South Korea, Samsung's home country, for the iPhone 6 have reportedly topped 100,000. A report in the Wall Street Journal says preorders for the new Apple phone have reached 100,000 after becoming available on Friday through the market's three largest carriers. WSJ's report seems to be backed up by claims from the carriers that reported tens of thousands of preorders before the weekend.
The iPhone 6 will be made available in South Korea on Friday, and preorders are still being taken for the device up to the end of this week. Apple is launching the iPhone 6 in a number of markets this week, including Mexico, Thailand, and Greece.
Of all the preorder stats for the iPhone 6 in South Korea, perhaps the most impressive was KT Corp's which placed the preorders at 10,000 in just 60 seconds. |
