Xiaomi announced last night that 100,000 units of its budget handset, the Redmi 1S, will go on sale on Flipkart next week. The Redmi 1S is priced at just Rs. 5,999 ($100), and gives you a very high bang for buck. It's specifications are like that of phones priced twice as much as itself.

Up til now, Flipkart and Xiaomi have sold 580,000 units of the Redmi 1S in India. The next batch will go on sale on Tuesday, November 4th.
