HTC unveiled the Desire 820s, a mid-range Android Smartphone that is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek chipset. While the Desire 820, which was unveiled at IFA 2014, is powered by an octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset, the Desire 820s as the MediaTek MT6752 chipset, which is said to be a 1.7 GHz octa-core (ARM Cortex A53) part. Graphics is handled by the ARM Mali-T760 GPU.

The HTC Desire 820s has a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB expandable storage, BoomSound speakers, 13 MP rear and 8 MP front cameras, and Android 4.4 KitKat OS. Pricing and availability details are yet to be revealed by HTC. The Desire 820s is most likely to remain a China exclusive.
