Before releasing two new smartphones, the Oppo N3 and R5, the company was posting small details on the internet and we knew almost everything about it before it was official. Nothing has changed with the new, Oppo U3, as rumoured specs have appeared in a Tweet.

Thanks to a tweet from tjb007 and the GFX Benchmark site, the upcoming U3 will sport a 4.6-inch display with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution, a 64-bit octa-core 1.7 GHz MT6752 processor with the Mali-T760 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.

Other specs include a 12 MP rear camera, a 4.7-inch front-facing sensor and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. We can assume it will get Android 5.0 Lollipop before it launches, if not then it won't take long to get an update.
