Samsung has started well with its latest smartwatch. According to first results, Samsung has sold over 10,000 Gear S units in South Korea on a launch day. The smartwatch is currently being sold through mobile carriers KT and SK Telecom so you might want to hurry.

The biggest advantage over other smartwatches is its own SIM card slot, meaning it can be used as a standalone device and you won't have to companion it with your smartphone for being able to make phone calls. The Gear S is also available on various other markets.
