Wistron aims to ship 21 million notebooks and 25 million smart hand-held devices including three million tablets for 2015, the company said at a November 13 investors conference.

Notebook shipments in the fourth quarter of 2014 are expected to drop sequentially by about 5% while shipments for other product lines will approximately remain unchanged, Wistron indicated.

Wistron's third-quarter net operating profit decreased 18.11% sequentially and 27.67% on year because there was short supply of labor in China during the quarter and it was necessary to hire workers at higher wages, the company said.
