Nokia's CEO, Rajeev Suri, announced today that the Finnish telecommunications giant won't be making phones anymore. Nokia's mobile phones division recently got acquired by Microsoft, who are now making the next-generation of Windows Phone powered Lumia devices. What Suri said was that "we are not looking [for] a direct consumer return to handsets per se," but the Nokia brand "will return to the consumer world."

If you were hoping that Nokia would out an Android based Smartphone, we suggest that you don't wait around.
