Meizu has announced its new flagship Smartphone in China. The Meizu MX4 Pro is equipped with a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1536) resolution display. Thanks to the decent 76.5% body-to-screen ratio, the MX4 Pro is 150.1mm tall and 77mm wide despite its large display. The MX4 Pro is 9mm thick and weighs 158g.

Powering the Meizu MX4 Pro is the new Samsung Exynos 5430 SoC. Built on a smaller 20nm manufacturing process, the Exynos 5430 debuted on the Galaxy Alpha. It packs 4 x ARM Cortex A15 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and 4 x ARM Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz. The processors have been paired up with six-core ARM Mali-T628 GPU clocked at 600 MHz.
On the back of the device, you will find a 20.7 MP sensor from Sony (IMX220 Exmor RS) which is protected by Sapphire Glass. The camera sensor is capable of recording 4K videos, supports 100fps burst shooting mode, and much more. Accompanying it is a dual-tone LED flash unit. The front-facing camera is a 5 MP wide-angle sensor.
For audiophiles out there, Meizu has incorporated a TI OPA1612 amplification chip, along with advanced DAC support, Hi-Fi audio and much more. And for those who are worried about security, the MX4 Pro packs a fingerprint sensor under the home button, protected by Sapphire Glass.
The Meizu MX4 Pro, despite what all the rumors said, runs on Flyme OS (based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat). It bears a not-so-pricey $410 price tag in China. No word on international availability as of yet. |
