Acer on November 20 unveiled 10-, 11.6- and 12.5-inch Aspire Switch 2-in-1 devices (which can be converted into tablets), Iconia One 7, Iconia One 8 and Iconia Tab 10 tablets and the Iconia Talk S, a tablet supporting 4G voice communications in Taiwan.
Acer has launched the new products looking to stimulate demand during the year-end shopping season in Taiwan. Acer will also cooperate with local telecom carriers to bundle its tablets with communication service plans.
Director of Acer Taiwan's marketing division Samuel Chang is optimistic about Taiwan's retail market in December and expects its sales in Taiwan to rise in December.
Chang pointed out that the company's first batch of Chromebook shipments have already sold out and the second batch of shipments will hit the store shelves in Taiwan soon.
Acer will also start selling an inexpensive 11.6-inch notebook adopting Microsoft's Windows with Bing solution in Taiwan, Chang added. |
