According to reputed KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is expected to sell as many as 71.5 million iPhones in the fourth quarter of 2014. If his numbers are proven right (in due time), Apple will have sold 82% more iPhones in Q4 2014 than in the same quarter last year. Kuo further predicts that Q1 2015 will see a 31% drop in iPhone sales, to around 49.4 million units.
Also, in Q1 2015, Kuo expects more iPhone 6 Plus units being sold as compared to now. Currently, 2.75 iPhone 6 units are sold for every iPhone 6 Plus. Next quarter, that ratio might drop to 2.11:1, mainly due to greater availability of the iPhone 6 Plus.
Meanwhile, iPhone 4s sales are expected to grow strongly, thanks to availability and a price cut in emerging markets. |
