Intel's smartphone chipset, codenamed Cherry Trail, was expected to arrive in the third/fourth quarter of the year. As we are almost past that, it is almost certain that we won't see it this year. Instead, the company will introduce it during the second quarter of 2015.

Intel Cherry Trail processors will be used in smartphones and tablet, and are based on 14 nm Airmont core. They will offer much better efficiency than the 22 nm Bay Trail processors and at the same time, 3D graphics performance should be improved a lot.
