There will be 74.53 million tablets shipped globally in the fourth quarter of 2014, increasing on quarter by 17.6% but decreasing on year by 10.1%, according to Digitimes Research.
The shipments will consist of 20 million iPad series units, 27.8 million units from other international vendors and 26.7 million white-box units, Digitimes Research indicated.
Among international vendors, Apple will be the largest accounting for 26.8% of the shipments, followed by Samsung Electronics in second place and Lenovo in third.
Taiwan-based makers will ship 30.64 million tablets in the fourth quarter, taking up 64.1% of the global total. Foxconn Electronics will be the top maker, followed by Pegatron, Compal Electronics and Quanta Computer. |
