Huawei is working with wireless service providers in South Korea, including SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus. With the partnerships, wireless providers will be able to offer 5G service. According to Sanqi Li, the CTO of Huawei Products and Solutions, the Chinese company wants to work with the Korean companies to build 5G networks.

Within the next six years, Huawei and its partners plan to have active 5G networks running in Asia that will be 1000 times faster than 4G. There have yet to even be standards created in most countries for 5G, so there is work to be done before the networks are built.

Huawei says it is also working with the South Korean tech companies on Internet of Things devices.
