Adata Technology has reported revenues of NT$3.59 billion (US$111 million) for July 2010, down slightly from the NT$3.56 billion posted in June. The company revealed that sales of its DRAM modules dropped 14.5% on month in July, whereas those of its NAND flash products increased 26.6%.
DRAM modules generated sales of NT$2.03 billion to account for 57.4% of Adata's total sales in July, according to the company. NAND flash products made up the remainder, with sales of NT$1.51 billion.
Adata said demand from the PC sector is expected to pick up later in the third quarter, as the channel starts to restock. The company holds a cautiously optimistic outlook for the DRAM market in the second half.
Inventory turnover days at Adata will be maintained at about a month, considered as a reasonable level, during the third quarter, the company indicated.
Falling demand arising from Europe's debt crisis, which led to weaker memory prices, eroded Adata's profitability in the second quarter. The memory module house swung to net losses of NT$419 million in the second quarter from profits of NT$457 million in the first.
