ASUS is working on its own 64-bit Smartphone. The ASUS X002, which paid a visit to China's TENAA, sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6732 chipset having four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and coupled with the ARM Mali-T760 GPU.
The ASUS X002 has only one SIM card slot, with support for LTE Cat. 4 (150 Mbps downlink). The device has an 8 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front camera, 8 GB of expandable storage and a 9.9mm thick body that weighs 140g. The X002 runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
ASUS might unveil the X002 as the successor to the hugely popular Zenfone series in China. It is definitely coming to China Mobile, confirmed by the logo at the back of the device. |
