Three, a wireless carrier in the UK, has revealed just how many people on its network have actually used the carrier's 4G. Three first began offering 4G in 2013, and since then, the carrier says 3.1 million customers have benefited from it. Unlike its competitors in the UK, Three groups 4G in with its regular data contracts, making it harder to determine how many people care about the faster speeds.
In the case of Three's calculation, the 3.1 million figure reveals how many people have at some point ended up in a 4G zone.
EE is the largest 4G carrier in the country with 6 million 4G subscribers and O2 is in second place with 3 million subscribers. Both of those carriers have dedicated plans that feature LTE speeds. |
