Samsung is trying everything it can to avoid paying Apple the $930 million that a court ruled it owed a long time ago. A lower court ruling decided Samsung had infringed on Apple patents with its Galaxy line of devices, and that resulted in the $930 million ruling. Since then, Apple and Samsung have played nicely, but Samsung still does not want to pay.
Legal representatives for Samsung say the lower court was simply wrong in its decision, so Samsung is reaching out to a US appeals court.
