Huawei has officially announced the Honor 6 Plus in China. Also known as the Huawei Glory 6 Plus, this new phabletsports a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by Huawei's in-house developed Kirin 925 chipset. The Kirin 925 is an octa-core 32-bit SoC (4 x ARM Cortex A15 and 4 x ARM Cortex A7), coupled with a Mali-T628 MP4 GPU, 32 GB of internal storage and 3 GB of RAM.
Spec wise, the Honor 6 Plus is an absolute beast. The new Kirin 925 chipset also supports Cat. 6 LTE networks. The phablet a dual 8 MP camera setup at the back. Combined with some clever software, the resultant images are of 13 MP resolution. Not only that, the clever setup and accompanying software allow for features such as live filters, focussing on parts of the image after taking the shot, etc. It's got super fast autofocus, in just 0.1s. There's also an 8 MP front camera, completing the '888' configuration.
To ensure that you get a full day's worth of usage, Huawei has stuffed a large 3,600 mAh battery inside the Honor 6 Plus. The handset runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Emotion 3.0 UI on top. While the 3G model is priced at CNY 1,999 ($323), the 4G LTE model is priced at CNY 2,499 ($404). Both models have two SIM slots.
