Acer has said that it ranked as the top vendor for consumer notebooks in Brazil in the third quarter of 2014, accounting for 16.2% market share and registering 18.6% on-quarter growth in shipments. The company cited data from IDC.
The notebook market in Brazil still has strong growth potential as the penetration rate of notebooks among households in the country is less than 30%, according to Germano Couy, president of Acer Brazil.
Brazil is currently the world's fourth largest PC market, and Acer has been cooperating with local retail channels, wholesale and online shopping operators to promote its PC products, including notebooks and tablets, Acer said. |
