Xiaomi reportedly has plans to launch an updated version of the Redmi 1s on January 4, 2015. The company's most affordable Smartphone is going to get a shot in the arm in terms of network connectivity. While the current Redmi 1s doesn't support 4G LTE networks, the new one will sport dual-LTE connectivity.

The updated Redmi 1s will also be powered by the new 64-bit Snapdragon 410 SoC, replacing the old 32-bit counterpart. The rest of the specs are expected to remain unmodified.
