Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) is continuing to develop flexible OLED panel technology and expects samples to be sent out in 2016, according to Tech News.

Citing reports from Japan-based media, the report said Foxconn is continuing to move forward with flexible OLED panel production for use in smartphone and wearable devices.

Foxconn wil aim to send samples of 5-inch flexible OLED panels in 2016 when it also plans to start shipping limited quantities of the technology, the report added.

The panels will reportedly have 400ppi and be produced from a roll-to-roll method, the report noted.
