Along with the announcement of ZenFone Zoom, ASUS launched new ZenFone 2 smartphone that was already rumoured in the past. Both smartphones have the same design and almost the same specifications, except the ZenFone Zoom has a bigger 13-megapixel camera.

It features a 5.5-inch 1080p display with thin bezels and according to ASUS it has a 72-percent screen-to-body ratio. It sports the same a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, or 4 GB or RAM and 64 GB of storage. Compared to the ZenFone Zoom, it has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera that comes with "Pixelmaster" technology.

It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, supports dual-SIM slots and will come in various color options. The ZenFone 2 will be available starting at $199 in March 2015.
