The next-gen flagship SoC is once again rumoured to be delayed due to serious throttling issues, despite Qualcomm's denial. If the rumours are true, then we can expect all next-gen flagship smartphones to be postponed until Qualcomm solves the issues.
According to reports, both Snapdragon 615 and 810 have overheating issues, although the latter is in a worse situation. The problem appears to be in the Qualcomm's Cortex-A57 cores when they go beyond 1.4 GHz. We're not that far away from first Snapdragon 810-powered smartphones, so we'll see who was right. |
