The tablet supply chain is seeing brand vendor clients starting to develop enterprise models as the consumer market is no longer seeing strong demand as it did in the past few years, according to sources from the upstream supply chain.
The enterprise tablet market is unlikely to see any surging demand, but should be able to provide stable shipment performance.
Factors such as large-size smartphones taking demand away, consumers delaying their tablet replacement, hardware and designs lacking surprises, have all significantly impacted tablet shipment performance in the consumer market, prompting vendors such as Samsung Electronics, Asustek Computer, Amazon, Lenovo and Acer to make adjustments to their tablet strategies. |
