Acer has announced revenues of NT$28.98 billion (US$913 million) for December, growing 1.72% on month and 2.09% on year. For all of 2014, revenues amounted to NT$329.84 billion, decreasing 8.4% from a year and representing the lowest annual level since 2007.

Thanks to its strong performance during the last three quarters of 2014, Acer is expected to post an EPS of NT$0.6-0.9 for the year, reversing from heavy losses posted during the period from 2011-2013, according to industry sources.

Acer unveiled a series of new large-size notebooks, Chromebooks and smartphones at the recently concluded CES 2015 which should help the vendor sustain a healthy growth in 2015, the sources commented.

Meanwhile, Acer's BYOC (Build Your Own Cloud) business unit is likely to yield more profits in 2015, said the sources, citing a company internal estimate.
