ASUS has launched a mid-range Android tablet, which supports voice calling, in India. The ASUS Fonepad 8 FE380CG comes with an 8-inch HD (1280 x 800) display. It is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 chipset, which houses a PowerVR G6430 GPU. Pair this with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB expandable storage, Android 4.4 KitKat with Zen UI, and you've got an excellent mid-range Android tablet already.
The ASUS Fonepad 8 has dual SIM slots. Yes, you can connect to 3G networks using this tablet. Yes, you can even make voice calls using the Fonepad 8. It's basically a really big phone, with an 8-inch display. There are 5 MP rear and 2 MP front cameras as well. The tablet has a 4,000 mAh battery.
ASUS has priced the Fonepad 8 FE380CG at Rs. 13,999 ($225). It will be available exclusively from Flipkart in Black and Color colors. |
