Buoyed by continued strong sales of iPhone 6 devices, Apple ranked as the top smartphone vendor in the Taiwan market in December both in terms of sales value and volume, according to data compiled by local retail channels.
Apple took a 25.9% share in terms of sales volume in December, followed by HTC, Asustek Computer and Samsung Electronics.
In terms of sales value, Apple accounted for a majority of 53.2%. Samsung led the Android camp and took the second position, with HTC in third.
iPhone 6 64GB topped the best-selling top-10 models, and iPhone 6 Plus 64GB ranked second, while iPhone 6 16GB was the third best-selling model in December, according to the data.
Sales momentum of iPhone 6 devices is expected to continue to the Lunar New Year holidays, which begin on February 18, said sources at the channels. |
