Significant discounts for the Moto X will be rolled out by Motorola on February 2. The company plans to offer a one-time code that will reduce the price of any $499+ purchase by $140. The deal does not apply to the Nexus 6. Moto X buyers will want to also buy accessories to meet the price requirement, though the 64 GB Pure Edition will be enough to meet that requirement by itself.

Normally, the Moto X 32 GB is only $449 and does not immediately meet the purchase requirement for the deal. This code will only be usable until February 14 at 11:59 PM ET.

Motorola has announced it also plans to reduce the price of $249.99+ purchases by $50 next month.

The code must be requested on February 2, but purchases can be made for a while after.
