Just a day after we heard first details about the updated Redmi 2, Xiaomi has officially announced the smartphone. The new Redmi 2 phone has the same overall design, but there are small changes under the hood. It now has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.

Many would think that comes with increased price tag, but not with this device. Xiaomi has kept the same attractive price tag of 699 Yuan, which is around $110. As for the specs, here is the complete list:
