Xiaomi Technology has sold 100,000 units of its Xiaomi smart bracelets in the Taiwan market in less than two months. The vendor aims to ship 500,000 smart bracelets in the local market in 2015, according to sources at local retail channels.

Sales of the smart bracelets have been stronger than expected due to their competitive price, said the sources. The Xiaomi bracelets are available for NT$395 (US$13) in the local market.

Additionally, the device is also user friendly as it supports both iOS and Android and has a battery life of up to 30 days.

However, due to Xiaomi's aggressive pricing, other vendors have been forced to lower their product prices, with some mainstream models slashed to sub-NT$2,000 compared to NT$3,000-6,000 set previously, said the sources.
