Flexible displays are coming from LG later this year. A new display type will make displays legitimately flexible, unlike current offerings which are only partially flexible. LG's display type is not as good as current displays, but since it lacks any glass, the displays can bend as much as a user wants without breaking.

Mass production for these flexible displays will begin in July 2015. It is likely LG will launch a smartphone with the display tech later this year, perhaps in Q3 or Q4 of 2015. Any smartphone with a flexible display will initially be less efficient and have a lower resolution.

These displays are entirely made of plastic.
