Acer's CEO Jason Chen has confirmed that they are working on a new Windows Phone device and that they plan to announce it at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2015 expo. Unfortunately, he confirmed that there are no plans for a high-end WP smartphone.

Instead, the company will retain its focus on the entry-level devices, which gives them a lot less risk. He also said that there has been interest in buying the company's smartphone business, which won't happen at the moment, but a merger in the near future isn't out of the question.
