Qualcomm's press release, posted today, confirms that future Windows Phone devices would make use of the company's flagship Snapdragon 810 chipset. Snapdragon 810 based devices are months away from reaching the market, but it's good to know that upcoming Windows 10 Mobile handsets may be powered by the octa-core powerhouse from Qualcomm.

The press release also hinted that Snapdragon 810 is going to power several new devices from partners such as Motorola, Sony, Oppo, Xiaomi, and LG, all of whom are going to release Snapdragon 810 based devices in the coming few months.

The first wave of Snapdragon 810 based devices are expected at MWC 2015.
