While Sony is having a hard time with its mobile division and is thinking about selling it if someone offers a fair price, someone is considering entering the smartphone market. That is VAIO, a brand that Sony sold a few months ago to Japan Industrial Partners.
The phone has just appeared in benchmarks, revealing possible specs. It will come with a quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz GHz paired with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage that power a 5-inch 720p display. There is also a 13MP camera at the back, a 5 MP up front and the device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The first Vaio branded Smartphone is expected to launch on March 12. We'll learn more about it then. |
