ZTE was rather quiet in the past few weeks, but that was because the company was working on a new flagship smartphone. The Grand S3 is the company's flagship smartphone for 2015 and unlike different design and specs, it also has an interesting feature.
The ZTE Grand S3 comes with an eye-based biometric security called the Eyeprint ID.
In terms of specifications, it packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display that is powered by Snapdragon 801 chip with quad-core Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.5GHz, Adreno 330 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. It has "only" 16 GB of storage that can be expanded via microSD card slot.
Other specs include a 16 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, an 8MP front snapper, LTEsupport , Wi-Fi ac, Dolby Sound and a 3,100 mAh battery. Unfortunately, the phone comes with Android 4.4 KitKat, which will be upgraded to Lollipop in the future.
Unlike other announced devices, the ZTE Grand S3 is already available for purchase in China for CNY 2,999 (around $480). |
