At Mobile World Congress 2015, VIVO has announced an update X5Max smartphone called the X5Max+. The new X5Max+ is very similar to the once thinnest smartphone. Due to a larger 2,300 mAh battery, the thickness of the phone went from 4.45 mm to 5.1 mm.

Other specs remained the same, meaning it still has the same metal body, a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution, a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable storage and dual cameras - a 13 MP rear and a 5 MP front. It still runs Android 4.4.4 with Funtouch OS2.0.

Regarding the pricing, it remained the same as the standard X5Max smartphone - 2,998, which is around $480.
