All stats show that the iPhone is becoming a much more popular device in China and new data reveals 1 in 4 phones sold in urban parts of the country are now iPhones. Kantar Worldpanel ComTech reports a quarter of all phones sales in that market have been for iPhones. That data is for the three months ending in January 2015.

During the same period of time in 2014, sales of iPhones were at 17.4 percent in urban China. Now they are up significantly at 25.4 percent in a country with hundreds of millions of customers ready to buy phones.

There are a total of 520 million smartphone users in China. That means it is a crucial market for Apple nowadays.
