When we first heard rumours regarding the Oppo R1C, reports were looking too good to be true. However, it looks like they were true as new details almost confirm everything that was reported back then along with some other details of the smartphone.
A report from GSM Arena says that the R1C will soon be available worldwide under the name Oppo R1x. It uses the same CNC frame like the R5, measuring only 6.85 mm and weighs 130 grams. The biggest change is the sapphire back panel.
In terms of specifications, we can expect a 5-inch "Pixel Eye" HD screen, a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 SoC clocked at 1.7 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of onboard memory, a 13 MP rear camera paired with an LED flash and a 5 MP selfie.
The phone will be priced at around $400 and should be available in April in two color options - sapphire blue and ice white.
