Powertech Technology and Walton Advanced Engineering, which mainly provide backend services for DRAM and NAND flash memory, both saw their August revenues rise modestly on month.
PTI has reported consolidated revenues of NT$3.284 billion (US$103 million) for August, up 1.6% on month and 21.6% on year. Consolidated figures for the first eight months of 2010 totaled NT$24.45 billion, rising 32.4% from a year earlier.
PTI expects its consolidated revenues for September to remain flat or grow slightly on month, and overall results for the third quarter to be within the company's guidance of 5-7% sequential growth.
Walton has posted revenues of NT$660 million for August, the highest since April 2007. The figure shows growth of 1.5% on month and 34.3% on year.
Judging from order visibility, market watchers expect Walton's third-quarter revenues to be at the low end or below its guidance range. Walton has estimated revenues for the third quarter to climb 7-10% from the NT$1.86 billion posted in the prior quarter.
