HTC One M9 was officially announced during MWC 2015 and since that is behind HTC's plans, the company can now focus on other smartphone lineup. One of the first smartphones from HTC could be the One E9, which is a slightly bigger device with several key changes.

Compared to the One M9, the E9 variant will feature a 5.5-inch display paired with QHD resolution. It has a high-end MediaTek MT6795 chipset alongside 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and a 2,800 mAh battery.

There is a 20 MP rear-facing camera that looks to have a slightly large lens, and either a 13 MP or a 4 MP UltraPixel front-facing camera. It has a dual-SIM support and runs Android Lollipop with Sense 7.0 user interface. The Chinese regulatory authority TENAA didn't reveal anything on pricing or availability.
