Pegatron Technology has announced net profits of NT$14.66 billion (US$463.48 million) for 2014 or EPS of NT$6.24 thanks to strong orders from Apple. Pegatron CEO Jason Cheng pointed out that the company had high utilization rate in both the third and the fourth quarters of 2014, but the percentage is expected to drop sequentially in the first quarter of 2015 due to fewer working days during the Lunar New Year period in February.

Pegatron achieved revenues of NT$351.95 billion for the fourth quarter of 2014, up 48.7% sequentially with net profits reaching NT$5.68 billion, up 19.7% from a quarter ago and gross margins reaching 5.7%.

Since Pegatron's orders from Apple have seen significant increases recently, some market watchers expects Pegatron to stand a chance of supplying over 30% of Apple's total iPhone devices this year.
